Recently I wrote about the value of adding rice to your diet. The value of one of the cheapest foods, that is not only heart healthy, but can help you shave off some pounds by adding to your meal without adding large amounts of calories. Well, one major down side to rice is the boring factor. Adding rice to every meal, while it can cut down your calories, can make your life quite bland! Adding soy sauce can spice things up, but the increase in processed salt is very bad! That’s why I recommend Bragg Liquid Aminos, 16 fl oz liquid which tastes much like soy sauce, but is 100% natural sodium that can easily be absorbed by your body, and contains amino acids that your body needs to function!

A switch to Nishiki Premium Brown Rice, 15-Pounds Bag can save you money, and add to your heart healthy meal… but tends to be a bit dry for my wife and sons taste. So I had to think of a way to spice things up a bit! Especially since I got a bulk 15 pound bag to save on time and money of buying rice! Adding Gourmet Dry Blends / Seasonings Chinese Five Spice to my rice mix (just about a teaspoon per cup of dry rice mix) makes our rice more interesting, and keeps our 2 year old son filling his face all meal long

Haha, okay, so this site is not going to be used for it’s original purpose. I originally created this site because I worked for a company called Bo Lings which was just a Chinese Restaraunt here in Kansas City. I worked at the Zona Rosa location near where I live in Parkville. And let’s face it, the job sucked.

I don’t really have a problem with being in a place where I am the minority that doesn’t really bother me at all… but to be looked down on and thought of as inferior because you’re not a natural born Chinese person when in AMERICA is just a little bit strange. Since they hired illegal Chinese immigrants that was also a little bit of a oddity. The meals there were also WAY over priced I mean you payed like $15 for a tiny little plate of food. I can go to Rancho Grande and get a whole meal with sides and everything for $8 or go across the street from Bo Lings to Rainbow and get their Chinese buffet for $5 and get a whole heck of a lot more food for 1/3 the price. The owner and several of the managers were also very cheap… one of the managers would take rice off of peoples table if they left it and put it back in the rice steamer. The owner required us to charge for extra rice (Ok last time I checked White Rice was something like $.05 per pound and it only takes like 1/8 a lb if not less to make a bowl of rice skip the extra $5 and get yourself some happy customers).

I was just sort of rambling on about these things on my Xanga page because that’s what I do and the owner of Bo Lings found my rant on Google and was furious… He wanted to fire me on the spot, but one of the other managers liked me so he didn’t do it because I actually worked. Needless to say I went into my usual “I can play this game” mode and went home to register a few sites, planning on taking over the term “Bo Lings” in the search engines so that I could say all sorts of crap about how they run their business… I just got lazy after quitting and eventually never got anything up and going.

Now the site has been up for a long time and has some PR so I figure I’ll take the site, make a blog mostly about china, and chinese things… lots of ancient armor and everything… and fund the site with P3 here in a few months once I meet all the requirements.
